Rodin(1840-1917)-Victor Hugo-Rodin Museum Paris

As the 19th century moves on from the Baroque, which is still inspired by Greek and Roman mythology artists such as Rodin chose to depict The French Writers Victor Hugo and Balzac in nude form, producing several studies for each monument. In one Balzac stands proudly with his arms clasped over his belly.
